In this brief article let me elaborate a little on the relativity of such notions as System Improvement, System Optimization, System Enhancement etc., using my limited English)) It is broadly accepted to speak about Improving something - from the exhaust system of your car to your whole life. Still, I don't think that a lot of people really ponder over what means Improvement? We all know that language is limited. Music is limited. Drawing is limited. So, we cannot fully convey our vision (let alone feeling of harmony) to other people using such common means as Language. Also, any concept is relative, as well as everything else in this world. Thus, I don't believe in the strict meaning of the word Improvement. What do people mean by this? If someone says "We want to improve and optimize new recruits training system in our company", what is implied? No one really knows - is it bad? Is it inferior? And what does poor or undeveloped mean? The system looks ugly? Or people within this system feel unhappy? Or the boss himself or herself thinks about this system and does not feel good about it? Let us take such an example: the CEO says "Our training system in the company eats about 20% of the revenue each year, and we think it is too much!" OK, may be, but how you can be sure that if you restructure the system and "optimize" it then eventually, within 7-10 years, the company will not degrade due to insufficient level of proper instruction given to employees? People everywhere love Economizing because of the mentality of lack imposed on them by society. If they have cut down on money spent on something in the company, they feel exhilarated. They don't realize that they can easily kill the company by doing that. We want to express our vision, which is like this: YOU CANNOT IMPROVE OR EVEN OPTIMIZE ANY SYSTEM BECAUSE YOU CANNOT PREDICT WHAT IS BETTER AND WHAT IS WORSE FOR THIS SYSTEM IN THE LONG RUN. You can only MODIFY the system to a certain degree based on your meticulous and careful perceptual analysis of the system. Everything is relative - you even do nor really realize what is BENEFICIAL and what is DETRIMENTAL to a given system - you operate solely on the ground of your biases obtained throughout life - it is good for you, but not necessarily for some system involving other beings. You may ask "So, but what should I do then? Leave everything as it is?" And we will answer that each case is unique, so it not possible to proclaim anything in advance. But one thing is certain from our perspective: it is a great fallacy to ultimately crave for the increase in financial return while working on any system. Often, it is better to delete money temporarily out of the equation and focus on the feeling of beauty, grace and harmony that the system can emit to all around it and within it. Then graceful financial return will follow as a pleasant subsequent effect. It is a good idea to try to practice other types of thinking than pure financial speculations. We are human beings, not money printing machines. At least, we are sure that to achieve a graceful powerful condition of your System, you should focus on its Harmony and "Humanness", not only finance-related aspects.
